With Apologies to John Calipari

If you’re like me you love South Park.  They have a completely unique way of looking at pop culture, sports and political issues and showing us just how silly they usually are while offering a common sense approach and or solution.

One of my absolute favorite episodes is “With Apologies to Jesse Jackson” in which Randy Marsh uses the “N” word when trying to solve a Wheel of Fortune puzzle.  In order to make up for his mistake Randy goes to Jesse Jackson to apologize where Jesse decides the only appropriate apology is to have Randy kiss his bare ass.

I love it.  It couldn’t have been more over the top and ridiculous and as it turns out fitting for this article.  You see, ever since Kentucky Basketball hired John Calipari in the spring of 2009, the NCAA and the national media have had their microscopes finely tuned on the controversial coach.

They couldn’t stand that UK had hired such a prominent recruiter to the mecca of college basketball.  They screamed that UK sold out to win and hired a cheater.  At every opportunity they tried to investigate players (Eric Bledsoe) or criticize the team (Educated Kids vs The One-n-Dones) or criticize the coach (John Calipari) and each time, they came up on the losing end of that proposition.

When a coach who did it the “right way” in coach K won the title with one and done players he wasn’t slammed for doing what Cal did, he was lauded as a great teacher and adapting to the game.  Pat Forde said that Coach K “has now beaten John Calipari at his own game”.  Please explain that to me Pat.  First Cal had already won a title with one and done players and won 38 games.  That’s 3 more than K’s team.  Additionally, Coach K is finding out just how hard Cal’s philosophy is this year as Duke has struggled to compete and has fallen out of the top 25.  Don’t forget Dukes loses to Lehigh and Mercer in those stats as well.

During Cal’s tenure at UK, Pat Forde has been front and center as the voice against Cal.  He has on multiple opportunities taken the time to pen a negative article about the Hall of Fame Kentucky Coach.  That’s because Pat is a long time Calipari hater, a one sided “journalist” and more importantly was a long time Louisville journalist and confidant to Rick Pitino, widely fordeconsidered Cal’s biggest rival.  In the art of journalism, you are supposed to present an argument based on the facts in front of you.  Pat has had no problem doing that (with limited facts) to John Calipari but his pen suspiciously seems to run out of ink at each Pitino blow up.

In his famous “Lie in your bed article” Pat says Cal hit rock bottom against South Carolina and then skipped the press conference.  “When the tough got going, Cal got out.” he said.  Then he proceeded to ask imaginary, inflammatory questions that Cal should have answered.

When Pitino pulled the same stunt against UK this year (accented with a middle finger to the crowd), Pat said he handled it poorly but it’s because he hates losing and that’s what drives him to win and that he should’ve answered questions.  Probably questions like “How many strippers do you think it would take to land a guy like Ben Simmons?” or “Can you ever beat Calipari if he doesn’t have his worst team by far at UK?” or “Does that finger stay erect for more than 15 seconds?” (Pitino does seem to be around a lot of whores)

Forde and many of his media brethren have continued to call Cal a cheater and slime and a horrible person who exploits the system and brings in “Thugs” while defending his buddy Pitino.  Really?  Let’s examine for a minute the facts between the two Italian coaches since Cal has reached UK:

John Calipari –

  • Has continued to bring in kids that are pillars of their community.  Not for being great basketball players (which they are) but for being great citizens.  Guys like John Wall who donated 400k to charity or Demarcus Cousins (often demonized) who hosts a free camp, donates Christmas presents to needy kids and donated a scoreboard to the Sacramento High School staff.  Guys like Anthony Davis who won the NBA Cares Community Assist Award.  You know, the one and done thugs you speak of….
  • He has run a charity and foundation and given back to the community, been a faithful husband a mentor to great young men and an extremely successful basketball coach

Rick Pitino –

  • Has continued to bring in troubled kids such as Chane Behanan or Chris Jones…the list goes on
  • Says his best friend is Billy Minardi (his brother-in-law who was tragically killed in the 9/11 attacks) and how does he honor him?  Cheats on his sister with a two bit whore.
  • Has now lead Louisville to a one year (and probably bigger) self imposed  post season ban because of allowing hookers in of all places “Billy Minardi Hall” to dance for and have sex with recruits and players.  Don’t tell me Pitino didn’t know either, that is the same thing John Calipari has said in both instances of his past as well.
  • Has been an extremely successful basketball coach

I guess you’re right Pat.  Cal is the coach of thugs and Pitino is the golden child.  Pitino is clearly who a university would want to set an example and lead their young men.

Randy Marsh
You want me to kiss your ass?

Or maybe, with all of this evidence laid out before you, you can get off of your high horse.  I believe the only real way for you and the rest of the Cal hating media to redeem yourself and right all of your wrongs is to say you’re sorry.  So as Jesse Jackson demands in South Park, get on your knees and kiss John Calipari’s bare ass at mid-court of Rupp Arena and “apologize”.

What the Huffington Post Isn’t Telling You

The Huffington Post is a real piece of…work.  They have decided that they are smarter than you and in turn need to tell you what to think.  You are not capable of putting together an opinion so they are going to put together one that is so one sided it’s disgusting.

There are still 5 major candidates (and poor ole Jeb) in the race for the the President of the United States and only one gets a special blurb about them.  Donald Trump.

After every post that is made on the website about Donald Trump the following appears:

A note to our readers: Donald Trump is a serial liar, rampant xenophobe, racist, misogynist, birther and bully who has repariannaeatedly pledged to ban all Muslims — 1.6 billion members of an entire religion — from entering the U.S.

First, this is awfully high and mighty for someone like you.  I guess pointing fingers at people is fine as long as no one points back right? Perhaps under anything you write it should read:

“Arianna Huffington is an alleged plagiarist (settled out of court), exploited unpaid and underpaid interns to build and sell a website for 315 million, was the owner of resignation.com a site dedicated to getting Bill Clinton to resign and ran commercials for the Detroit project equating driving SUV’s to funding terrorism.”

One LA Times columnist said “many of the worst abuses of the old economy’s industrial capitalism — the sweatshop, the speedup and piecework; huge profits for the owners; desperation, drudgery and exploitation for the workers. No child labor, yet, but if there were more page views in it…”  Huh, you sound like a real class act unlike that Trump jerk.

Second, why only Trump?  Why not Rubio, Cruz, Clinton or Sanders?  Are you saying that none of them have their problems?  If you are truly trying to “inform” the people as your front page says, then maybe you should give them dirt on other candidates that may be even more scathing than Donald Trump’s.  Additionally some of your claims are cherry picked and not the whole quote and or story.

What you aren’t telling us about the other candidates?  I bet at least one of the other candidates has a sordid past much worse than Donald’s.  Let me see if I can come up with a blurb for you to use for Hillary.

“A note to our readers: Hillary Clinton is a serial liar, career criminal, is married to an alleged womanizer with multiple affairs, is currently involved in an FBI investigation and was associated with no less than 47 people who have mysteriously died or committed “suicide” .”

How did I do?  Will you please start putting this blurb under your Hillary Clinton articles in the effort of equal and fair reporting?  That’s the liberal mantra right?  Everything should be equal and fair.  Otherwise you are “bullying” Mr Trump as you say he is doing to others. Oh that’s right the liberal mantra is “Everything should be equal and fair unless I’m against it.  Then there should be laws against it.”

Going back to Trump, let’s talk about the facts of your blurb about him.  You say “has repeatedly pledged to ban all Muslims from entering the U.S.”  While this is true, you don’t use the full quote where he says “Until we get this figured out”.  Your quote makes it sound like he wants to impart a forever ban when that is not what he said.

Further, this would not be the first time something like this was done.  Let’s look at history shall we? During FDR’s presidency (a 4 term Democrat widely held as a great president) the US openly denied visas to immigrants who were “likely to become a public charge”.  Since the Jews lost everything in Nazi Germany many had nothing and would have to rely on the government and thus were denied.  Beyond that, there were very strict quotas in place.

In 1939 a passenger ship called the St Louis left Germany carrying nearly 1000 Jewish refugees headed for the U.S.  This ship never made it to the U.S. as we denied all of their visas forcing them to find asylum in other countries.  It wasn’t until 1944 that FDR signed legislation to let Jews in after they had figured out what was going on.  This is no different than saying ban all Muslim visas until we get this figured out.

Most of the other articles have quotes that are taken out of context or are only offensive to the spineless.  He never called all Mexican’s rapists, he referred to illegal immigrants which shouldn’t be here to begin with.  You want to call him a misogynist but Bill Clinton (who Democrats adore) was worse.  I’m well aware that Donald Trump is not without flaws and I’m not saying I am voting for Donald Trump.  That doesn’t mean he can’t create jobs, run a country or do what’s right for the people.  We are a free country and we should be able to make our own choice with the facts presented in an unbiased manner.

If you call yourself a news outlet, then report the news in a factual unbiased way or take the word “inform” off of your cover page and replace it with opinions.  If your reporters would like to impart their opinions in the piece that is acceptable but to put a blurb at the bottom of each article featuring a specific candidate acts like the people reading the crap you put out can’t make a decision for themselves.  If I was a reader of your papers work (and I am not), I would find that insulting to my intelligence and an awfully egotistical way of writing on your part.

An Open Letter to Michael Moore

Hi Mike,

How’s it going?  You look good are you losing weight?  Probably not.  Anyway, I wanted to send you a little note to see why you would say some of the despicable things that come out of your mouth.

Then I would like to offer you some advice from a former military person who you despise so much.  Don’t worry I’ll show your contempt for the military soon.  I encourage you to read some of your quotes below and maybe think about the solution I offer. The Fragile State of Football: Ruining America’s Greatest Sport

It is estimated that roughly one crab fisherman dies each week.  (I know, that’s an odd stat to start a football column with but stay with me)  Crab fishing has long been advertised as the one of the world’s deadliest jobs and year after year the statistics prove it.

Most of these deaths occur as a result of hypothermia or drowning yet the equipment remains the same.  Rusted cages, old boats, and winches and generators that work periodically are all things we see on the deadliest catch. Hillary Thinks it’s Just Dandy to Have Her Emails Read

Hillary Clinton thinks it’s great people are reading her email because as she puts it “there’s a lot of interest”.  Yahoo is reporting that camp Clinton is just fine with her emails being confiscated and read by the FBI.  Has this woman totally lost it?  I know we all like to feel loved and have our emails read, but I can think of roughly 5 million things that make me happy and not one of them involves ANYTHING being confiscated and reviewed by the FBI. On top of that her complete refusal to admit a lapse in judgement shows she doesn’t have the character to be our nations leader. Here is an excerpt from the article:

Hilldawg
To be fair she does look happy

“I’m happy people are looking at the emails,” Clinton said. “Some of them are, you know, frankly, a little embarrassing. You know, you find out that sometimes I’m not the best on technology and things like that, but look, I think it’s great. Let people sort them through and, as we have seen, there is a lot of, you know, a lot of interest.”

That statement alone should spark outrage from anyone who is for or against Hillary.  Saying “I’m not the best at technology and things like that” tells me that one, she is over 50 and two, she clearly had no idea how to setup a completely secure email server.  She had to have outside help to do that and she got it from ex-Clinton staffer Bryan Pagliano.
